"You could give people your own personal high, make them feel amazingly happy and elated without having to take any kind of drug or substance", she is been fully serious and knows that there are people who would do exactly that if they had the ability, literally sell themselves to people as a drug.
Walking out of the alley with Jay, Aiden leads him to a decent sized cafe. She orders the basic, soft drink and a sandwich, then goes to a table to take a seat after Jay has done his order and Aiden has payed for it, "I know this is kinda sudden, but I was thinking since you've got no home and all maybe you could crash with me and my brother. We;ve got plenty of space", she laughs softly, "And plenty of nice plants for you to talk to".

"Maybe. But that's a dead end street for me. I mean, it doesn't work on myself. Trust me, I tried. So all I'd be doing is selling my power to buy more drugs. Either way, I'm trapped in a loop. Besides...some people don't deserve it. I just use it as it helps for now..."
He walked alongside her, for once just enjoying conversation. He went into the cafe, ordered a sandwich and soda, and just sat enjoying his food. He didn't even bother inviting her to bed, like he would have long before now on a normal day.
His jaw almost dropped when she invited him to live with her and her brother. "Really? You'd invite a guy like me to live with you?" He then laughed. "Heh...very funny...Actually, before that demon showed up, one was telling me to run. I didn't listen. But, now, I guess it's okay I didn't. After all, had I ran, I'da left some cute girl with a demon." He winked.

"you can put feelings into people's heads right? They don't have to be good feelings all the time. Those people that don't deserve to feel good, you could make them feel terrible".
"You see my brother and I have been travelling around the country looking for others like ourselves, we try to explain to them everything that's going on with them and why it's happening, we try to bring as many as we can out of the dark. Unfortunately sometimes demons have gotten to them before we could and have convinced them to side with Hell and some of these other people they have some nasty powers". "You're the first that I've found around these parts so I figure you mays well come back to the house, I can keep an eye on you there".
"I only came down to the ground because I thought that demon was going to try something, not that I could have really held up against a demon but I could have tried to fend him off long enough to allow you to get away if anythig did start". "Bet you've never seen a cute girl try to take out someone before".

Jay shrugged. "Well, I guess I could.." he said, deciding against telling her what he normally used it for.
He chuckled. "Keep an eye on me, huh? I can live with that." He looked at her. "Seriously? You did that for some stoner you don't know? Just, risk your life for the guy. That's sweet of you." He shot her a grin.

"You could but you probably shouldn't. I mean if you start using your powers to harm people then what makes you any different than the demons? They harm and hurt because they can, because it's all they know. I like to think that we are able to use our abilities in ways that don't just benefit ourselves".
"Well it's not like I'd be watching you twenty-four seven, you'll have free run of the house, be able to use all the facilities and stuff, don't do anything stupid and you'll be staying for as long as you need". "I couldn't just leave you there knowing that that demon could've attacked you, I know now that he had no intention to. It's kind of a flaw of mine that I can sometimes act impulsivly without properly thinking through my actions, it can get me into a bit of trouble. And you're not just some stoner guy, you're like me, we've both got powers".

Jay stifled a chuckle. Now that he was in his right mind, he'd been a little more subtle with his hitting on her, and she didn't seem to notice. "Well, I see what ya mean."
He sat back an looked at her. "Well, I'm still a stoner. Only difference is I can talk to my weed before I smoke it. And there is the whole animal thing. But ya know, maybe I can make more of myself..."

"I hope the others of our kind haven't let themselves be seduced by the words of demons. I don't want to be a leader though, I just want to do something to make sure my family and friends are safe". Aiden gives Jay a small smile. She had to admit to herself that Jay does have a certain charm about him, a kind of reckless energy that Aiden always had as a child.
"Gee, that must be a little weird. What do the plants say back to you knowing that their about to be burnt". "Been able to turn into animals is pretty cool, best I can do is copy the attributes of animals, like speed, strength or senses". Aiden holds up her hands showing her nails. "I got these when my powers started, also my teeth have gone sharper".

He shrugged. "Who knows? Some are foolish, some aren't." He couldn't help but chuckle at her comment about the weed. "Well, it normally doesn't...but...earlier, with that demon, it was telling me to run. So...yeah. I have yet to see the usefulness there. Heh....actually, when it first happened, I was high...so when I came to, there was a surprise."
He grinned at her. She was pretty cool, to be honest; more than just a pretty face. "I see. That's still pretty cool, ya know? It's like...similar, but completely different..."

"You should have listened to the plant, even though the demon didn't have any intension to harm you I've found that it's never a good idea to have any kind of conversation, they have a way of getting into your head and putting ideas in people's minds. It could come in useful that you can talk to trees, through them you could get infomation about what's coming in the distance, mainly from tall trees"
"I'd rather have your ability to change into animals, there's so much more I could do compared to just copying animals abilities". Aiden means forwards on the table. "You know if you were to bring even a small plant to the house I could make it grow full size within a few hours. I'm not saying we turn the house into a lab, but you could make some extra money and have a ready supply with none of the long wait". Giving Jay a smile Aiden laughs to herself. "You bring out the bad side of me".

"Well, look at it this way. Had I listened to the plant, would we be here right now?" he asked with a wink. "So, this time, it's a good thing I didn't listen, don't ya think?"
He leaned forward when she did, smiling back. "Sounds like a plan, though I'd probably give ya a cut of any profits if we were to do that."

He smiled, leaning a little closer. "Yeah, I tend to do that."

"Yeah, this time it is a good thing that you didn't listen to the plant and run for it. It's good that I met you Jay, I need someone to help me losen up a little sometimes, I can get worked up over the smallest things so often, and my brother doesn't help any he just makes it worse more often than not. Now I've found someone I can just kick back and relax with".
The offer of been cut in with some of the profits is very tempting, but Aiden isn't sure if she would be okay with getting money from something like selling a drug. "I'll have to think about it for a bit, though that extra bit of money would be useful. Some of the time we have to travel to other states and it can get a bit expensive".
Aidens eyes slowly turn a tawny gold colour, usually a sign that some part of her brain is using an animal ability that she has picked up, though it can happen when she is in a good mood. "It's not that bad though, I'm partial to doing some stupid stuff without thinking. All the bones I've broken have been because I've climbed something that I really shouldn't have".

Jay smiled. "I'm glad too. I mean, it's been a while since I had some decent company. Yep, it's good to...relax. And I can actually help with that," he said with a sly grin.
"Alright. But if you choose not to take the offer, I'm at least payin' rent. I ain't takin' the benefits of livin' with ya for free." He gave her a wink.
He watched in awe as her eyes changed color. ""It's not that bad though, I'm partial to doing some stupid stuff without thinking. All the bones I've broken have been because I've climbed something that I really shouldn't have."
He leaned a little closer. "Well, we all do stupid things every now and again. Sure, it comes back to bite you in the ass, but sometimes, it's worth it..." With that, he took his cue, leaning in just a little more and kissing her.

"I bet you can, you can put nice feelings in my head, make me feel like I'm the happiest person in the world. I wouldn't mind if you did actually but it is kinda depressing that I'd need something that alters my state-of-mind to make me truely happy... But unless I can go back to when I was ten and climbing trees then I guess it'll have to do. Or just sitting around with some weed wouldn't be so bad either. Sounds good to me, you can pay some rent for the place then".
About to reply to Jay she is stopped by his kiss. Her eyes close for a moment and out of reaction, maybe, Aiden lets the kiss continue and even puts a little bit of force into it. Breathing out slowly Aiden moves away slightly to break the kiss. "I... I can tell you that that;s was not something stupid that you're going to regret".

Jay smiled and pulled back. "Good to know," he responded with a grin. "Yeah, I could do that if you wanted. But, everyone has their own artificial happiness. For me, it's weed. See, everyone has that one thing that carries them over til the next time they are truly happy. And this," he sent her a small wave of happiness, "doesn't seem to have as many side effects."
He grinned. "Alright. It's a deal. I stay with you, pay rent, make you happy when you need it."

"There are things i do to make myself feel good, not like I can't be happy without a drug or anything, but there are times when I just want to sit back and relax and that relaxation can be improved by you". The wave of happiness Jay sends to Aiden makes her smile. "No, no side effects at all".
"Probably a good idea not to tell my brother about this little deal of ours, I'm not so sure he'd like it so good". "If you're done eating how about I take you to the house 'n' show you around the place, it's not that far from here, maybe a ten minute walk". Aiden stands and goes to Jay's side, putting a hand on his shoulder, leaning down to kiss his cheek softly.
