"I guess the real trouble started when I met some guy named Ty. Before that, I was alright with everything, excited even. I thought that this was my chance to do something with my life, make the world a better place. I thought I might have been the only one with these sorts of powers... I was excited about finding out my purpose, the reason I had these powers... Then I met Ty. After that, nothing made sense. I felt like I was starting to go crazy.
"Not sure what I did after that. I just....ran...along the rooftops. With my speed and my strength, I can jump pretty far, and thanks to the healing I don't hurt myself all that badly when I land. I spent all day doing that just...running...jumping....maybe hoping I wouldn't make the next jump and I wouldn't have to deal with the questions...
"I found myself at St. Patrick's. I figured that was as good a place as any to sleep. But I guess I wasn't allowed to get some rest, because this chick called Valkyrie showed up. She was pretty cool, though, and tried to be helpful. She might have given me some real answers, but someone attacked us. I...I'm not really sure what happened to me after that. Do any of these names sound familiar to you?" |

Gabriel listened to Paladin describe his day, She must admit. It was a crazy day, especially for a half-breed. She waited until he finished talking, until she began.
She sighed, "The man, Ty Smith, was in fact a pureblood demon known as Dementis. He is the demon of insanity. That was why you must have felt crazed - out of your mind. Valkyrie, however, is quite a special case. I'm sure you would have heard of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse? Well, she is War. Although we label as demon, they are quite a neutral party, much like yourself. Vulnerable to be pursuaded to either side, and I fear Lucifer himself may have his eye on the prize."
Although she has not encountered Dementis personally, she has heard about him from other accounts. Many angels have encountered him, while some went clinically insane. The Four Horseman have been recently awoken, so she is on a hunt to find their identities. However unfortunatly, they never remain the same place for long.

There she goes again with the angels and demon stuff. An now the horsemen of the apocalypse... This is just getting ridiculous. [/i] Darius was starting to put some things together. He was getting the impression that angels and demons, the ones 'Gabriel' called pureblood, were probably people who had their powers for a long time, maybe their whole lives. On the other hand, there were people like Darius who were 'half-breeds', who just recently got their power. He wasn't sure what she was talking about with the horsemen, and he wasn't sure he cared. "She didn't seem like a demon to me. She was pretty nice, actually. A lot nicer than Ty, at any rate," Darius commented. "I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that the demons are the bad guys. What is it that they want?"[/size][/blockquote] |

"Demons - " Gabriel sighed, " - They seem to take things rather personally. In fact, many are merely mistunderstood. However, they seem to be like sheep nowadays. The leader will begin, and the others would blindly follow. Frankly, they cannot handle the world being shared by half-breeds and angels alike. They are selfish, manipulative, heartless and indeed, blind."
She figured she better be straightforward with him. Any mind games, like the demons constantly display, and she would have lost trust in this man. Not that he would trust her completely yet. That what the angels do. They are truthfull and tell what what they need to know. Not give one too many cryptic clues, and let them fend off for themselves. No. She was an angel of revelation, and she would reveal the destiny that Paladin would soon discover for himself. Whether he liked it or not. |
