Tess listened as he told his story. She smiled. "Sounds intriguing. Wish I could have done something like that..."
When he asked her her story, she looked over at him and smiled back. They were just talking about work, not about the whole past. "I haven't been here long. I've moved place to place. Settled here. Got a job at a restaurant and served for a while; and that was where I met my new boss, and he offered me the job. I took it because it was closer and I like watching stuff like that sometimes."

He nodded as he listened. "Interestin'. Ya know, I had no idea this was you hadn't been doin' this that long. You seem like you know what you're doin. I'm glad ya like it. My fights in particular. I mean, most girls who watch MMA do it just to see all the shirtless guys, ya know?" He shot her a playful grin.

Tess saw the playful grin and listened to his words. "I'm not the average day girl. I'd like to think I know what I'm doing, but I can never be sure, ya know? Take it one step at a time...."
Then they were here. "Well, here we are...would you like to come in for a drink or something?"

He nodded. "Yeah, I understand. " Then, they got there and he looked over the place. He smiled. "Well, I ain't got no other plans tonight. Yeah, I'd be glad to stay a while. Thanks."

Tess unlocked her door and turned to him. "Great. Come on in!" She opened the door and put her purse on the kitchen counter. She looked around out of habit, and looked in every room.
Then, Tess walked back in. "Okay, what would you like to drink? I got water, wine, beer, juice, soda...take your pick." She opened the fridge while she asked the question.

He walked inside and sat down. "I know it's bad for me...but can I get a beer? Just one and I'll be fine." He grinned. "Not that bad a place ya got. Thanks for lettin' me come in."

Tess grabbed two beers and walked over, handing him one. She smiled. "I won't tell if you won't." She took a swig of her beer and blushed at the compliment. "Thanks. It's not really much, I don't think, but it's home. For now...

"Thanks." He took a sip, and just looked at her. She was a really sweet girl. At first, he'd just wanted to have a little fun and flirt a bit. But, as he was sitting there, he felt differently about her. Like he wanted to get to know her.
He struck up a conversation the only way he knew how. "So, any other fights in particular you're interested in? Or just mine?" He grinned.

Tess took a seat in her other Lay-Z chair, crossing her legs as she leaned back. "My...adopted father used to watch it every night, and I started watching it with him. But I have to say you're the best I've seen. I mean, with that Win-Lose Ratio record, why wouldn't you be?" She had hesitated when saying father.....Watching that show beat working all night...
Tess found him to be a lot nicer than what she had found other fighters to be; he was also not married or gay. She just wanted to know him better..

He grinned and lay back, relaxing a little as he finished his beer. "I see. Well, I'm glad you're into me...er...my fights I mean." He coughed, ashamed at his mistake. He didn't mean to say that, not really.
He looked back at her. "Well, it's been a good time, but I might need to get home soon. I haven't eaten yet."

Tess raised an eyebrow at what he said and then giggled. "Yeah...Me too."
When Paul said he should get home soon, she felt a wave of disappointment. Then, she had an idea. "Well, I haven't eaten either. It should only take me a few minutes to make something....if you want to stay?"

"Sure," he said with a laugh. "That works too." He grinned and looked at her. He didn't know why he never spoke to her sooner; she really was great to be around. "Thanks, again. You're too sweet."

Tess smiled as she stood up. "Anytime." She got the ingredients out and heard him say that she was too sweet. "Awwwww..I'm just trying to be a good hostess...friend...person." A few minutes later, she announced the food was ready.

He sort of watched her as she got up and walked into the kitchen.
He chuckled a little at her stammering. "Well, you're doing great," he said with a wink. When she announced it was ready, he got up and went into the kitchen to help.

Still in her ring girl outfit and not wanting to change due to being tired. She grabbed two plates and she noticed him walking into the kitchen. "I hope you like steak."
