He smiled and nodded, somewhat hoping she didn't notice him checking her out. "Yeah. Steak sounds great." He didn't say anything about her still being in her ring girl outfit. After all, it wasn't like he was complaining.

Tess set the plates opposite of each other on the dining room table. When she had first got it, she had wondered why she did. Thank goodness she never had time to return it... "Aaaaaaand, dinner is served. We have some salt and pepper sitting right there. Is there anything else you'd like from the kitchen?" Even though the dining room was IN the kitchen...

Paul smiled and sat down across from her. "I think I'm good," he said as he started eating. "Oh, and I think I should apologize for making you faint earlier. Chris and I sometimes tend to lay it on a little heavy." He chuckled a little.

Tess returned the smile and said, "Great." She started eating and looked up at him and laughed. "It's all right. I'd say I know what it's like, but I have no siblings." She saddened a little bit but then shook out of it, and smiled again.

"Well, we're really close, but we're also extremely competitive sometimes." He kinda saw her expression briefly show she was sad, and decided to drop the subject there. He shot her another small smile and continued eating.

"Sounds terrific," she said to the statement of them being close. The subject was dropped there and she sat there, wondering what to say next. "You know, out of all the wins you've had, this one had to be the best." She decided to say something like that, and while she did, she leaned on her elbow, with sparkling eyes.

Paul couldn't help but smile wider as she leaned forward. He did the same, eyes sort of shining. "Why do I get the feeling you're not talking about my fight?" he teased. "But I'd say it is."

Tess giggled and returned, "Oh, I don't know. Mebbe cuz I'm not?" Tess' eyes widened and she got up with her finished plate. Cleaning it off, she had her back to him. In her head, she was chastising herself. What made me say that? Damn, my brain is mingled...

Paul jumped a little, not expecting her to be so outright with it. But he was sure she meant it, anyway. He stood up, and walked over to her, cleaning off his plate as well.
He stood beside her and when he'd finished cleaning off his plate, he set it down and put a gentle arm around her. "So, what'd I win?" he joked, adding a wink.

Tess leaned against him and looked up at him. Smiling a little, she said, "You get to pick your prize..." She teased him and set her plate down. "Is there something you'd like to do?"

He laughed as he looked down at her. He leaned down and gave her a gently kiss on the lips. "I'd say this is nice, myself...." He grinned as he put his other arm around her.

Tess smiled when he kissed her and agreed with him. "I'd agree..." She snuggled into his chest and closed her eyes. This felt great...

He held her closer as she snuggled into his chest. His hand gently rubbed her back as he closed his own eyes. This was the greatest feeling he'd felt in a while, if not ever.
