Gabriel resumed her smile and took a few steps forward, "All demons think the same, which is why you are named demons in the first place. I would love to return to the wonders of heaven, but for the same reason you cannot crawl back to the hellhole of the Underworld. We are angels because we have feelings. We are capable of empathy, which is why I am grateful to be an angel. I'm sure not even you can put up with Lucifer pulling your strings."
To think this demons had even the balls to stand up to her, he was sorely mistaken to think she was as innocent as a child. Through the thousands of years, Gabriel had to learn to adapt to the world around her. That meant she had to put up with men like him, so she was not as friendly as she used to be. Why waste good manners on a heartless demon? It is they who have no souls.
"Go and run to your souless lord, Sun. It is you who with perish under his command. He is using you as his little pawns, sending the weaker ones in for the fight. So be it, demon." She watched him leave, and felt the ground shake at the same time. He wanted war, she will sure as hell give him war. Not all angels were peaceful. She will be sure to punish them on they last living day.
She glanced at Michael with a furious look upon her face, and watched in horror as people screamed and scattered upon the fall of a few buildings. Orbing closer to the site, and away from onlookers, she sprayed out her hands and immediatly a golden sphere of the light, almost transparent to the mortal eye, around a few of them, stopping them from collapsing. With her other hand, she tried to shift the buildings with her telekinesis, but it was quite the effort. Beyond her vision, she could make out a few winged figures in the air, aiding her in their own way.
That was the difference between angels and demons. When one angel needed help, the other will follow without a second thought. Whereas if that was a demon, no other would give a damn about a corrupted being such as himself. Sun was at the top of her hitlist, and she knew the right angel to hunt him down.

Michael would have loved nothing more than to chase after Sun and separate that grinning head from its loathsome body. Three things prevented him, however. One, he had no way to track where Sun had gone. Two, even if he could, Sun had likely retreated to someplace where he would have the advantage in a fight. Three, Gabriel was clearly struggling to save as many human lives as possible, but she was straining herself.
Michael wondered if he would have chased after Sun had the option been available. No, he decided with relief, he could honestly say he would not leave Gabriel on her own. Angels stood together. Besides, he knew better than to let his emotional desires guide him rather than duty.
Michael tore his eyes from where Sun had stood and faced the collapsing buildings. His eyes glew with golden light as he drew on his angelic powers. A powerful gale rose up, snuffing out fires and diverting falling debris from smashing into the pedestrians below. He assisted his fellow archangel as best he could.
Despite the magnitude of their powers and the speed with which they had intervened, Michael knew that some humans were already dead and others dying. As the earthquake died down, he let his own winds die down as well and grabbed his cell phone. He could use his great strength to move debris off people, but he would have a hard time fixing people's injuries. Neither he nor Gabriel were healers. They would need all the help they could get.
"Hello, 911 dispatcher," he spoke into the phone. "There's been an accident..."
