Gone was Darius's confusion about what he was supposed to be doing. He'd given up on getting answers from other people. They were all either crazy or lying. Either way, they couldn't help him. Or wouldn't. He needed to find the answers on his own and finally, he knew what he had to do. He knew that there was some greater purpose behind his powers, and that it would reveal itself in time. Until then, he just had to use his powers the way they were meant to be used: for good.
He had superpowers. So he might as well be a superhero.
The first thing was a costume, which wasn't nearly as hard to get as it should have been. He dressed in silver and white, to match the metal coat Valkyrie had given him. It was complete with a cowl that pulled over his head and eyes, with his logo in the center. There was some great purpose for Darius Martin. But for now, he'd have to be content with the purpose of his new identity: Paladin.
He'd already taken the first step on his new path. Paladin had seen a man trying to mug another one in an alley. That had been easy enough for Paladin to stop. He'd let the man put his knife in Paladin's arm, which didn't do him any good. One blow was all it took to knock the man unconscious. So Paladin carried him to the police station and set him down on the steps outside, with a note explaining everything.
Paladin turned to go, climbing up the side of the nearest building. He could climb very well, since his enhanced strength allowed him to grip things better. He could support his entire body weight with one finger, so there was no hold too small for him. He climbed up the side of the building and paused for a moment at the to. "Finally....Time to start making a difference."

Prowling the roof tops and city streets a strange demon lurks in unseen by citizens passing by. He is running but not away or twords something. He is just simply city running for the joy of it. Why this amused him was even a mystery to Sun himself. Perhaps it was just in his primate nature to swing from telephone wire to telephone wire, to leap from building to building. You see Sun had and encounter with two angels a few days before. They seemed to know what they were doing in life. Sun ever since he came to earth hadn't really had a goal in mind. What was there to do when all mortals didn't have the power or skill to fight a Demon who earned the tittle Monkey King after there display of martial arts? Sun was known in all of china as a monkey god for his fighting abilities. Little did they know Sun is actually a demon.
As he runs super fast a gust of wind blows in his direction. He didn't know were he was or why he felt the urge to end his running spree but he did so. Sun climbed up another building and sat on the roof. He just looked down below and people watched until something better to do would pop into his head. Sun grew board watching the normal humans walk and go by there daily lives. Nobody looked out of the ordinary or seemed different from the other one. Then he spotted a man in a shinny suit. The man looked odd walking out from a police station with a costume on. Sun jumped down landing on his two feet. His balance was almost perfect due to his super strength as was Paladin's. Sun just studied the man for a little bit before aproching him. He walked up to the man a few moments after.
"Hey!" He shouted at him as he was on the opposite side of the street. "Hey buddy!" He continued to yell while walking across to get closer to the man. "You look like something straight out of a comic book, Let me guess your a super-villain?" Sun joked around with Paladen. He then took a step back and rolled his hand into a bow. "Sun Wukong, plessure to meet with such a charecter as yourself." He introduced himself. "I think its a little to early for holloween my good buddy, We could still cause havoc with out the getup ya know. But I like it it looks shinny tin man. Lets go kill something I'm board watching these goody two shoes prance around these streets. A little trouble should sture there boring lives up. I would do it alone but allways better if a secound set of eyes witness my greatness." Sun told the man and then awaited his response.

Sun Wukong? Isn't that the name of that Chinese Monkey God? Darius asked himself. He thought that was it; not that it mattered. If he could wear a costume and call himself Paladin, this guy could go by whatever name he wanted. "Um....Superhero, actually...not villain," Darius responded. It felt so weird to say it out loud. He really couldn't say anything to the costume comment. There wasn't any reason for it other than that Darius felt that he couldn't really be a superhero if he didn't have a costume.
"Yeah....I'm....not really intot he whole 'killing for fun' scene...I for one say let them prance."What's this guy's deal? Causing trouble? Yeah, sure, that's alright. If he's serious about the killing someone for the hell of it, though.... "I'm up for having some fun, though. What do you have in mind?"

Maybe Sun should have used his mortal given name while introducing himself. Keith De. Monk, that sounded so plan to him. He loved his monkey titled name and felt like it would be dishonor to use another. He was bound to his name and pride as king wouldn't let him use that humanized name. Sun put on a fake smile and tried not to roll his eyes when the man told him he was not in fact a supervillian but a hero. Sun had to try not to laugh at the man. Sure it was almost comical that a grown man would play dress up and pretend to be a hero running around the city and stopping evil doers. But then again some people might think a demon who's obsessed with monkeys to the point of becoming there king is a bit odd as well. Who was this villain to judge. Sun just nodded at this time. He couldn't think of anything to say to the man without sounding rude. Even though that never stopped him before. It would just seem funny in this situation.
As Paladin told Sun that he wasn't into the whole killing for fun idea, Sun just shrugged his shoulders. He figured as much once he learned he was a hero not a villain. "Guess you wouldn't be into killing for a little fun since its not the heroic thing to do." Sun couldn't read him and this was very uncommon. He normally is an excellent judge of character. Sun has had alto of encounters with hero type people and this one seemed odd right off the bat. Like he was new or something. "So how long have you dawned the iconic P symbol?" He asked him figuring he mine as well ask him some questions to settle his mind. "And if your a superhero that must mean you have some sort of power to. What is it?" He asked Paladin. Sun should have been able to sense that this man was a half breed but he is bad at such things.
Then the man actuality agreed to have some fun after Sun just stated that he wanted to kill people. Any true hero would have called him out on that. This man must be psychotic or working some sort of angle here. Sun figured that he should test this theory, but first another question. "So let me get this straight you don't care if I kill people on my own time but just not with you?" Sun asked raising an eyebrow. What in the hell did this guy think he was? Not a hero but clams to be, not a villain but wont mind having fun with one, hes not neutral because hes doing something that was for sure. Sun just didn't know how to respond to him. "You sure that me a cold blooded, well room temperature blood at best. Kinda like a reptile depending on the situation..."As usual Sun gets off topic."Yeah So you call yourself a hero and it looked like you just imprisoned some poor bastard for having fun. But You wouldn't mind having some fun with me who is let me tell you worse then that new found cell mate?" Sun asked the guy getting back on topic and he also added a slight sarcastic tone to that question. He wouldn't be taken for a fool and play into any tricks this hero had. But then again Sun was unsure if it was a trick or not.
