Hmm..what a peaceful night. As Tyr made his way through the door, he scanned the room for the resident matron, finding that there were a few more customers than the last time. Though, he supposed on his first visit, he had come after-hours. It was good to see that Famine's restaurant was successful. Now that he thought about it, Famine seemed to be the only one of the four of them with a steady job.
"Well, now where is she..." He wondered, choosing to seat himself in a secluded booth in the corner, ignoring the maitre'd. He was friends with the owner--something he didn't often get a chance to say. He was going to take advantage of this. Now to wait...

"And I am telling you, you do NOT cook the clams like that? Are you out of your mind?! I paid big money for that. Now I have to go and get a new box full." Famine's shouting could be heard throughout the loud room and everyone quiet down enough for them to hear.
Carlita growled. She did not want to deal with this today. Storming out, she glared at the customers a moment. Then, she saw Conquest and she couldn't help smiling a little. She stopped at the bar portion of her restaurant and ordered vodka. One glass didn't do anything to her, and so she was calm about it. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked him.

"It's good to see you again, Carlita. Please, by all means, take a seat." He waved his hand to the seat across from him. "I see you've been having problems with some of the help. Was it Carlos again?" He asked, giving a glance to the drink in her hand. Scratch that, it seemed to be a long night for the poor girl.
For the moment, it was quiet again, even if it was because of the awkward little incident in the back room. Tyr gave a smile in return, using his abilities to help wash away the stress in her mind.

Carlita plopped into the seat and heaved a sigh. "No, it's not Carlos. Lucky for him, it's his day off. Sometimes I wish it was my day off. It's the whole damn kitchen. It's like this big. Fat. Bug. Crawled up their ass and died there." She swallowed down the vodka and put it firmly on the table.
Famine all of the sudden felt a little more relaxed and leaned back. "So, how about you? How has your day been?"

"Oh, not bad..I don't have any real complaints. Though...it sounds like you need to take a break for a while. Kick back and have dinner with me?" Tyr smiled sympathetically, offering her one of the menus--before remembering that..she owned that menu...she would know everything that was on it. "Guess you don't really need that, huh."
"Maybe you should just start fresh, with a whole new staff."

Carlita offered a small smile and said, "Sure, I'll have dinner with you. It'd be a nice change from all of the yelling."
Famine took the menu and opened it up. "It's all right. I can always check for typing errors this way." Then, a crash came from the kitchen. "You know what? I'll be right back. I bet you ten bucks that it's the new guy. He's a royal pain..." In more ways than one... "I'll be right back, okay?"

"Sure thing."It seemed that Carlita was having a rougher time than he thought. He gave a small sigh, glancing toward the kitchen. So, why was this new guy still here, if he was such a pain? Perhaps she was just being charitable--though, it was hard to find new help for restaurants. She had to deal with it until she could find someone else, maybe?
He sat back, watching the patrons, taking in a deep breath.

Famine wanted to make this quick, because she really didn't want to deal with all the looney tunes in the kitchen. After having a drink, she tended to forget that she was Famine, Horsewoman of Starvation and Hunger. Much like now. She pushed open the swinging doors, walked inside, and looked at the mess on the floor. The new man looked innocent to her.
One power she never forgot and truly cherished was her Omniscience. Carlita listened as the man told his 'story.' "Really. All I did was I started heading out to give these people food and get a new order, and someone gets the nerve to push me down. He knocked the food right off the tray and away from me!"
With an eyebrow quirked, Carlita looked it up in her mind, to find out if it was the truth. With a menacing tone, that she was sure people outside could hear, "Really? I think what really happened....You want to know? Well, either way I'm going to tell you. I think that you started walking out, like you said, but then Carlos told you to wait because there was more food to go out there and you got mad at him. So you backed right into him and made everything crash onto the floor to try and blame him for something he really. Didn't. Fucking. Do. A Damn thing. Wrong."
Out of the corner of her eye, Carlita noticed Carlos calm down a little. The new guy, Jake, however tensed up. He didn't know what to do, it seemed. So instead, he tried a different approach. "I'm sorry, Ms. Solis. It won't happen again."
Carlita glared and said, "It better not. Now, if you'll excuse me." She turned around to leave and Jake followed. "Carlita, I've been meaning to ask you something..."
Carlita stopped and looked at him, "Ask it fast. You're running it real thin."
Jake smiled at her, "It won't take but a second..." With one hand, he grabbed hers, and the other one was slowly making its way around her to pull her closer to him. It seemed he had a little too much to drink.
Carlita glared at him. It looked as though she were about to hit him or something because she had just about had it with these people.

After a few minutes, things seemed to be taking a little longer than they should have. "Maybe I should see if she needs a hand. Knowing her luck, the kitchen's a disaster area.." He muttered, standing and walking toward the back of the restaurant.
"Carlita, I've been meaning to ask you something."
His head perked upward, and as he peeked around the corner, he could see the man getting rather intimate with her, and her apparent discomfort. What was more interesting was that Famine didn't floor the man, or simply fade out of his 'embrace'. The nameless man would suddenly feel his limbs feel as though they turned to lead and his feet were rooted to the ground.."Excuse me. I don't believe it's very polite to play grabass with a lady. Where are your manners?" An overwhelming sense of terror would filter into the man's mind, projected by a very irritated Tyr--who was repressing his other identity at the moment, a light glow surrounding his figure from the half-transformation. Slowly, and with purpose in his stride, he made his way toward the two, a vicegrip on the man's shoulder as he was wrenched away, and dropped--the increase in gravity forcing him to his knees, in an almost iconic bowing gesture. "That isn't any way to treat a woman, knave. You don't know what you were thinking, right? You want to apologize, right?" One thing that Conquest had difficulty tolerating was a breach of a man's honor. Without honor, without worth.
"S-s-s...s..sorry, Carlita! I mean, miss Solis! It won't happen again!"

Carlita saw what was happening and backed away from Jake. She looked over at Conquest out of the corner of her eye and listened as the man apologized. "You'd better be. Fucking moron trying to pull shit like that off. I've had it with you. Go get your things and leave. You're fired."
Fuming, Carlita went back to the booth where Tyr was at and collapsed. "I can't believe that man's nerve." She sighed, and then said, "Personally, I am glad that I changed my mind about Carlos; he's the only one who really tries. Maybe I should just start fresh..." She looked at him and actually smiled. "Thanks for your help."

"Hm..I'm surprised you put up with it. After all, you could have had the man on his back--or in a pile on the floor...quite literally." He laughed quietly, sitting back down when they made their way to the both. "That's what I'm saying. Close down the restaurant for a little while, start hiring anew..or just start holding interviews in your offtime without telling your staff. Either way, they're not doing their jobs." Tyr nodded, the glow dissipating when he stepped out of the kitchen, though his supernatural presence cold still be felt by quite a few mortals nearby, most likely.

Carlita slid in the booth across from him, listening as he spoke. She blinked at him. "I forgot I could...I guess. I'm a light drinker. " She gave a small smile. "Thanks for having my back, anyways." At Tyr's suggestion, she nodded. It needed a redecoration anyways; might as well do both. "Well, it's closing down for a bit due to redecoration. I'll just replace the staff then. Speaking of staff, I think I'm going to have another drink. How about you?" She waved a waiter over and ordered more vodka, then looked at Tyr to see if he wanted to order.
