Kylia was still sobbing as she walked towards the restaurant. She avoided other people's gazes, their pity taking their toll on her. Her eyes stayed firmly on the ground, and she had been walking for a long while before she knew she had to stop.
Kylia leaned against the wall of a building, right next to a door, slightly ajar. It looked like a hotel of some sort. Behind her was an alleyway. She closed her eyes and Marion's face flashed in her mind. She cried out, opening her eyes. She stood on shaky legs, feeling like she was about to collapse. She needed to sit down...She couldn't...not until she got to her safety zone. In a few moments, she'd start up again. Thankfully people had disappeared from the streets, it seemed.
A few minutes later, Kylia pushed off and saw someone in front of her now, one she almost bumped into. "I'm sorry! Oh, my God, I need to pay more attention..." She started crying again. "Could it get any worse?!"

Jay stood outside a building, smoking a joint. He wasn't really paying much attention. He just needed to get away and relax a bit alone. He watched the smoke rise slowly into the air. Then, someone bumped into him.
He spun around to look at her and smiled. "Oh, no problem," he said.

Kylia calmed herself down, since he seemed to not have a problem with it. She leaned against the wall again, and watched as he smoked a joint. She felt like she should take a shower, she felt violated and confused and alone, lost even. She shook her head and looked up at the sky. Why her?
"Well..." She didn't know what to say. She shivered a little bit, and tugged at her shirt, pulling it upwards, worried it might fall off. "I guess...I should probably leave you to that..."

Jay looked at her; he could tell she looked sad, out of it. So, he did the first thing that came to mind. He put out the joint and sent her a wave of sudden happiness using his pathokinesis. "It's all good. I was finished." He grinned.

Kylia couldn't explain the feeling that washed over her just then. She felt...happy. She smiled, crossing her arms because of the cold. She watched curiously as he put the joint out. "Okay. Sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kylia." She held out her hand.

He smiled again, sending her another wave of emotion, this one with a little more nervousness. Sure, he wasn't doing this to make her feel better, just to take advantage of her. But hey, at least he was doing something, right? "Name's Jay."

Nervous, Kylia smiled. She didn't know why she was so nervous. "Jay. Nice to..uh..meet you." She looked down at her arms, wondering again why she was nervous. She shouldn't be, right? Shaking it off, she asked, "Aren't you cold?"

"Nah," he said, finishing off the emotional flood with a pure, giddy sort of happiness. "I'm used to it." He then looked at her. "There's a place I sometimes stay not far from here. It ain't much, but it's warm."

"Oh, I see. Well, at least it's comfortable for you, right?" She felt giddy and happy and nervous. She gave him a hug and said, "I don't know how you did it, but I'm already feeling better. Thanks!"

He hugged her back, grinning to himself. It was too easy! "Come on, it's not that far. And I don't use it much anymore. I have a home now, but I don't own the place." He took her hand and lead her to a small, one-roomed building. It was nothing more than a bed and a space heater, but it was warm and cozy, nonetheless.

Kylia smiled and followed. When they got there, she looked around. "Wow...impressive. It really does look comfortable for you." Unsure of where else to sit, since there was just a bed, and not making a connection, she sat down on it. "I'll have to leave in a few minutes, but for now what do you want to do?"

"It's been a little while since I've been here, really..." He looked at her, relieving her nervousness, but amping up the giddy happiness. "That, is entirely up to you." He sat next to her and squeezed her hand gently.

Kylia felt her nervousness wash away and felt more giddy now. She bounced on the bed a little bit and said, "Well, I asked you first. You pick." Her eyes shone as she looked at him, squeezing his hand gently, returning the favor. She started to yawn.

He smiled; this was working all too well. "Well, in that case, I have an idea..." With that, he pulled her into a soft kiss, at the same time flooding her with more of the same giddy happiness she was already feeling; enough emotion to have her practically melting at his touch.

Kylia felt his lips on hers and as soon as that happened, she fell against him, returning the kiss. God, I could melt right now. She closed her eyes and when the kiss ended, she put her forehead against his and looked in his eyes. "Well, that was fun..."
