Goals and Ambitions: Although he is a font of knowledge, Raziel has a lot of questions about the impending apocalypse. Is humanity truly doomed? Why is it happening now? Why are some humans beginning to manifest supernatural abilities? Raziel seeks answers to these questions. He spends a good deal of time scouring ancient Hebrew texts looking for clues that will help the angels win the war against the demons.
History:
Raziel became the Angel of Mysteries and Knowledge after humanity was banished from the Garden of Eden. He was charged with monitoring the progress of human science and preventing angelic secrets from falling into the hands of mortals.
Raziel was one of the greatest opponents of the plan for The Great Flood, and it was he who was tasked with deciding what creatures and structures would survive the flood. He was also in charge of designing the specifications for the Ark which Noah and his family built.
Raziel was the archangel who calculated the arrival of the apocalypse. Upon learning this information, he shared it with his fellows and took on the guise of a human archaeologist specializing in the Middle East. He began spending time trying to find additional Hebrew prophecies which might give clues as to how to win the final battle against the demons.
